My name is Peter Horvath, I was born in Csorna and I have a band called RomUngro Boys. We play lovari and gypsy folk music.
I consider to attend gypsy traditions, including Roma language, dance and music. I think they are rated so unique traditions, and I would like to let to know more and more people about our culture.
I am so proud of my best friend whom we can work together perfectly. We used to have about 100-110 performances in a year, which includes either smaller and larger arts and cultural festivals, village days and club gigs, or national and international gypsy festivals.
Within the confines of MEDIAWAVE International Film Festival we have participated in different kind of projects and in this year we had the chance to represent Hungary on this festival.
Awards that we are proud of: Fringe Festival Special Prize Award and the prestigious Hungarian „Nívó” Award in this year.
In addition I learn so much from a lot of other musicians, bands whom we worked with. These bands are: Parno Graszt, Flare Beas Band, Romano Drom and Rackajam; and the musicians are: Gyorgy Ferenczi, Gabriella Tinter and Jamie Winchester.
I am very happy that I've taken part in the Roots & Routes project in Hungary, and I would like to continue working together. For me it's like a big family with great strength, solidarity and love!
I am a purposive person, and I feel that I can find the common voice with everybody.
And I never give up!
